Why Bulldog Tech?
Bulldog Tech is a new school model that reflects our changing society. Learning and knowledge are being redefined. Today, any person with a smart phone holds more access to information than ever before possible. So no longer can we measure aptitude by the amount of facts someone remembers, but instead by their ability to use information to communicate, collaborate, problem-solve, and contribute new ideas or creations. We believe that the process in which students use information to learn new skills and create new knowledge is essential for their future. By teaching 21st Century Skills through a culture that empowers, technology that enables, and curriculum that engages, we will enhance the way a child learns. Bulldog Tech will connect students with the skills and abilities to succeed in a knowledge-based, highly technological society.Cultural Foundation
Trust, respect, and responsibility are the hallmarks of our culture at Bulldog Tech. Students and staff together nurture a powerful learning experience and school environment. Our students gain an understanding of the professional work place. Working on projects in teams, students are accountable to their peers, and learn to take individual responsibility to complete their assignments. In our school we guide the student to realize and unleash their passion and ability.1:1 Technology
Bulldog Tech’s innovative approach to teaching and learning is supported by the full integration of technology. All classes have a 1:1 student to computer ratio: we provide each student with an iPad that they use throughout the day. With universal access to web-enabled devices, students practice the 21st century learning skills needed today and in their future.
Project-Based Learning
All learning at Bulldog Tech takes place within the context of larger projects or problems. Our teachers design challenging projects, tied to the state standards, that meet the needs and interests of their students. Students collaborate to acquire and apply knowledge for solving real-world problems. Our approach to teaching fundamentally changes the role of the teacher and student. Teachers become facilitators and coaches who guide students to take charge of their own learning, invent their own solutions, and develop self-management techniques.

“Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.”
― Socrates
This model shows how we light that flame for our students.
