The third annual awards ceremony for the Earthshot Prize, a competition Prince William launched three years ago to find solutions to climate change, was held in Singapore Tuesday night. The royal heir was joined by a host of celebrities and entrepreneurs at the glam gala, including Ted Lasso star Cate Blanchett and Emmy award-winning actor Sterling K. Brown.

The NUS Singapore History Prize was established in 2014 with an endowed gift from an anonymous donor, and is administered by the Department of History at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The prize is open to book-length works written or translated into English, or incorporating a substantial aspect of Singapore’s history. Nominations are accepted from authors and creators of any nationality.

This year, the NUS Singapore History Prize drew a record number of submissions from both the local and international community. The shortlist was announced on 27 June, and the winner will be notified in July. The prize will be presented at the Inside World Festival of Interiors 2023 in Singapore next September.
